I come back from the weekend and everyone's journals are popping off
2. What book (or if you don't read much, movie/comic/game/show/other media) would you highly recommend people read(watch, etc.) and what makes it special?
I do read, but I’m going to go ahead and recommend what I’ve been recommending non-stop for what seems like years now: My Brother, My Brother, and Me. It's a comedy advice podcast and it’s brought to tears of laughter more times than I can count.
3. What aspect of your art are you most proud of right now, at this very moment?
How quickly I can get stuff down once I actually set myself to it. I hadn’t realized how much faster I’d gotten till running through that last r4. (Finding time is a different story I guess…)
4. What, not who (but you can answer that too if you want), inspires your creativity?
Old shit and ruins. Other people’s art in general really inspires me if only because I’m incredibly competitive in my own head.
5. What are your favorite themes in characters/stories?
The Power of Friendship, found families, that type of stuff will always get me
6. If money or obligations weren't an issue, where is somewhere you would really like to visit?
Go back to Istanbul
7. What is a big art/creative goal you would like to accomplish?
Short-term: actually catch up and keep up with bfoi,
8. Do you have any OCs that mean something really special to you?
Brandt’s the only guy I really do anything consistently for, but he also started as my dumb trainer self-insert so a lil’ biased there I suppose. Trainer!Penny was based on another Penny I have in the wings, who’s a rocketeer-esque adventurer going on pulpy, retro adventures.
9. Tell us about a passion project you are working on right now. Is it related to question 7?
A lot of creative energies right now are going towards the D&D campaign I’m running, which is v fun and I’d highly recommend playing. Actual art-wise Brandt and two other trainer OCs filming a tv series in Alola is my latest comic I’ll never draw.
10. What is some advice you would like to tell to younger artists/creators?
2. When you're eating a burger and stuff starts falling out the back what do you do? (Push it back in, pull it out, nibble it, etc.)
I eat burgers edges to the middle, so if this happens I just keep moving around the edge.
3. Tell/Show us a colour combo that you love a lot!
Dark red, black, yellow
4. How many sketches or different designs do you normally do before settling on one?
a bunch of thumbnails throughout the day then ~2 tries at the sketch
5. Favourite snack?
Dried Mango, Oreos, Goldfish. not all together.
6. Where are you on the introvert/extrovert scale?
Depends on the day, but generally Extrovert? I really dislike the myers-briggs personality typing stuff idk don’t @ me
7. What's something arty you experimented with that actually turned out pretty good?
Charcoal drawing
8. Is there something you'd like to see more of in creative arts/media?
More people actually talking through their problems. Errors in communication stress me out real good. Also more bisexuals please.
9. If you listen to music while you work, do you prefer up-beat or mellow?
Up-beat!

Doing the linework. It's the perfect balance of feeling accomplished but not disappointed with the final product yet.

Take a figure drawing class if you can! It’s extremely helpful and good even if you’re out of school.
